Carolina & Anthony recently contacted us with some great news- they are expecting their first baby!
Of course we were thrilled by this and equally happy to know they wanted us to take some pictures of the baby on the way.

We first met Carolina & Anthony when we photographed their wedding a few years ago.
With each and every wedding we cover, there is a bond that develops between the photographer and the bride and groom, which time cannot erase.
As you can see by the photos, Carolina & Anthony felt comfortable with us for this shoot.

Our goal at DeBelle Photography is not only to capture your wedding day, but to be there for all of life’s important moments. Thank you Carolina & Anthony for including us in this wonderful time in your life and we can’t wait to take the Baby Photos later this year!

Les mariages en hiver sont bien différents. Le séance photo des mariés est à la merci de la température: dehors ou à l’intérieur? Par contre, lorsque le temps est doux, le résultat des photos est spectaculaire.

Lors du mariage d’Elsa & Valério, le temps était doux sur Montréal. Nous avons pu profiter des décors hivernaux que nous offrait le Vieux-Montréal pour immortaliser cette journée. Une mince couche de neige recouvrait le sol et les routes de vieux pavés reflétaient la lumière.

Le soleil s’étant couché depuis quelques instants déjà, nous avons utilisé les lampadaires comme source d’éclairage et nous avons pu capturer des moments magiques pour Elsa & Valério.

À notre retour au Centre des Sciences pour la soirée, les familles de Valério (tous venus de France) et d’Elsa attendaient impatiemment les nouveaux mariés. Elsa & Valério ne pouvaient cacher leurs sourires, heureux que leur mariage ce soit déroulé lors d’une journée d’hiver parfaite de Montréal.

L’équipe de Belle Photography & Positive Pictures

Caroline & David se sont dit “oui” cet été. Nous avons d’abord rejoint David et ses garçons d’honneur au centre-ville de Montréal en matinée.

Les gars étaient vraiment détendus et ils tenaient à souligner leur amour commun pour le “surf”. Nous nous sommes donc arrêté l’instant d’un clique à la fontaine du parc Riopelle près du Palais des congrès. Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigé vers St-Antoine-sur-le-Richelieu pour le reste de l’événement…à notre plus grand plaisir d’ailleurs, car cette journée fût la plus chaude de tout l’été, et être à Montréal par une telle chaleur n’est même pas agréable.

Heureusement, près du Richelieu, l’effet assourdissant de l’humidité semblait plus tolérable. Aussi, étant entourés d’un groupe si chaleureux contribuait grandement à faire oublier la chaleur.

Après quelques images près du bord de l’eau, nous nous sommes déplacés à quelques minutes de voiture du Château St-Antoine pour une séance photo avec notre couple de jeunes mariés. Ils avaient repérés l’endroit quelques semaines auparavant, sur le bord de la route principale et avait demandé la permission aux propriétaires d’arrêter faire des photos sur leur terrain au décor pittoresque et campagnard. L’endroit était magnifique!

Nous avons passé la soirée au Château St-Antoine en compagnie des mariés et de leur petit groupe d’une soixante de personnes pour festoyer dans une ambiance familiale. Merci à Caroline & David de nous avoir accueillis lors de cette journée!

Once in a while we are hired to capture a wedding in a unique location in Montreal. As you all know Montreal is not a large city, so a new venue for us is rare.

Genevieve and Martin wanted something different, a location that represented their modern and eclectic style. A warehouse nestled in an area close to the classic Farine Five Roses buildings proved to be the ideal place for them.

Genevieve and Martin transformed the bare location into a beautiful work of art – The attention to detail, colour scheme and layout is clearly evident.

Both the ceremony and the reception took place under the same roof which added to the intimacy of the evening.

With a little research, an open mind and some creative help, you can create your dream wedding venue in a location you never imagined possible. We hope these photos give our future brides and grooms inspiration…

Hawaii; the ultimate destination for many travelers seeking out beautiful beaches, orange sunsets, garden islands, and amazing weather. De Belle Photography & Positive Pictures were fortunate enough to be chosen to capture an incredible wedding that took place on a Hawaiian cruise.

Juanita and Marco along with 20 family members celebrated their extraordinary wedding trip last month. Three days into the cruise, the preparations began, Bride and Groom each in their own staterooms, prepping and primping themselves for one of the most important days of their lives. When both Juanita and Marco were ready for the ceremony, everyone convened on the deck of a magnificent cruise ship where they were married in the middle of the Pacific Ocean by the captain himself!

Resting for a day after the wedding, we began filming the Lip Dub and busted out some lyrics of “Lucky” by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat. Shy at first, the family slowly got into the mood and made it happen! Having everyone there (including our crew) made the experience that much more exciting and memorable. Who could not have fun with the sun shining, a refreshing pool at your feet, a perfect drink in your hand, crazy jokes being shared, and yes… even a few rounds of Pictionary thrown into the mix!?!

Once we docked in Hilo (Hawaii) everyone was excited to see what the islands had to offer. Juanita and Marco were kind enough to let us join them on their excursions. So why not bring the cameras along? We all enjoyed kayaking, snorkeling, visiting the majestic volcanoes, seeing historical Pearl Harbor, of course surfing on Waikiki beach (can’t go to Hawaii and not surf?), and the icing on the cake – seeing the ocean floor of the Waikiki beach area as we were transported in a submarine 100 feet below water level.

The highlight for many was the incredible Kauai Garden Island. We shot the trash the dress session on an secluded beach on the North Shore by the name of Lumahai. After a fast 45 minute photo/video blitz surrounded by white sand, black porous basalt, and lush green tropical forests, we all headed down to the south of the island for a helicopter ride. We had the pleasure of seeing some breathtaking landscapes and filming locations of Jurassic Park and Pirates of The Caribbean. To see some of these shots you can click here.

The end of the trip was bittersweet as the cruise was a once in a lifetime opportunity. We are truly grateful to Juanita, Marco and their families for making us feel so welcome and for giving us the opportunity to work in such a beautiful and romantic environment. Thank you!

On September 9th the de Belle team was happy to be part of Stacey and Sebastien’s wedding, and be amongst their warmhearted families at Loft Hotel.

Loft Hotel has been a common and well known spot for the de Belle team. We have shot many editorials, including the most recent “The Wedding Dress” article that is in Elegant Wedding Volume 8, issue 1 (see page 18). The hotel doubles as a reception hall, and in Stacey and Sebastien’s case; also where their ceremony took place with Sebastien’s own custom made huppa!

Night photography is tricky without a doubt, but when a photography walks away with a powerful photo, the feeling is extremely rewarding, and as you can see below there is nothing more romantic than a beautiful night shot.

Considering that night photography takes a tremendous amount of patients and time, we usually do not have the chance to take evening photos with our couples during their busy wedding day. A great solution to this is to choose a night photo session prior to your wedding such as the following images from Lisa and Oliver.
